All of our challenges to date have focused on exercise and obedience cues, but being active is only one aspect of staying healthy. Your body is your temple and you only have one to last your lifetime, so taking good care of it is key to having a healthier and happier life! Same applies to your pooch but they are completely reliant on you!! So with spring here, now is the perfect time to do some spring cleaning in regards to what we are putting into our bodies and our pooches’ bodies!
We all know that we need food to provide energy to our bodies to sustain not just basic body functions, but all of the activities we want to do during our lifetime…same applies to our dogs. We also all know that the quality of the food we eat and the food we feed our dogs has impacts, good and bad so this month’s challenge is focused on improving what we put into our bodies and our pooch’s!
This month’s challenge is quite simple and has a couple of options for your consideration to “clean house” for your body and your pooch!
- Reduce the “bad stuff” in your current eating habits
- Increase “good stuff” into your current eating habits
Every day over the month of May watch our Facebook page for information on a “super food” and then look at your current eating habits to see it is there. If not, think about exchanging one of your bad eating habits with a good one! We will also post some tips for healthier eating for your pooch as well!
Remember that by making small changes over time you will be more likely to maintain these new and improved eating habits for the long haul of life!
